Any way to get these folks on the phone? Reach via email? Help Center refers to Twitter and Facebook but I don't use either one.

Use the Ask a Question tab in the Help Center (near the top of the page) to submit a question online directly.

Cookie16. Just sent you a PM. Naviance just confirmed that they cannot currently send teacher recommendations to the Common App.

“Currently, the submission of teacher forms to Common App schools is not available. We do not have a specified date on when you will be able to submit teacher forms to Common App. We are currently working hard to make this feature available as quickly as possible. Please refer to the eDocs timeline for any updates.”

Thank you, johnnydoe. As I asked in PM message back, what does all of this mean for all of the naviance schools? They should get this fixed in time for Nov. 1 deadlines for EA/ED? Do we need to do this the old fashioned way and give teachers forms/envelopes? The way the commoon app is set up, we can’t input teachers for naviance schools. We can only input “other recommenders,” which is causing me heartburn to start with.

cookie16, I think your GC should upload the recs to naviance and send the recs to the colleges via naviance. Have you asked your GC?

Has anyone heard from CommonApp about this issue? My son’s GC emailed today letting us know that all the guidance stuff (transcripts, counselor rec, secondary school report) seemed to have gone through for Common App schools. Since she was successful, she said my son should tell his teachers they can now try submitting their letters to his schools. But in reading this thread, I am wondering if she was just assuming the letters would go through since she was able to submit her information. Anyone have any insights or success using Naviance/eDocs to send those letters of rec through CommonApp?

@CatMomma It seems as though Common App has fixed the problems with Naviance, so I’m sure your son’s counselor has made a valid assumption. My school’s counselors recently told us that teachers could begin submitting recommendations again without any glitches.
