Is it really THAT difficult to get into UF?

<p>I was reading about UF acceptance rates and how some people who thought they were a shoo-in for it had been rejected (for example I read an article about how a girl had a 1900 on SAT and was on varsity sports her whole high school career…and she was rejected)</p>

<p>I know my college scores probably aren’t high enough so I plan to retake both (I got a 25 on the ACT and 1720 on the SAT) but is it even worth it?</p>

<p>If it’s really as bad and hard as people say it is then…</p>
