I got accepted on Oct. 14, and their Tumblr says we should here 2-3 weeks after acceptance. The website says 6 weeks. My ACT is 30 and my GPA is a 3.9 (school doesn’t rank).
I know this is still early but bump
@woah16 - Congratulations on your acceptance. I wouldn’t worry yet about the Honors College. The website says to allow up to eight weeks, which is what Dr. German told us when we met with her on 10/12.
Alright, thank you!
I was accepted to MSU on October 14 and just received my invite to the Honors College today. You might hear back soon.
I did! Actually the same day as Midwest. Thanks!
how did you find out?
D is getting worried, accepted to msu in October, still hasn’t received email/ letter from HC. Act 34. Unlikely to be invited at this point?
Same for me. I was accepted on Oct. 27, but I haven’t heard anything yet.
got my letter for the HC and the PA yesterday…i think they’re in the process of delivering the invitations
I decided to shoot them an email asking if I should send in an essay now for further consideration for the honors college. It hasn’t been 8 weeks since my acceptance to MSU, but I’m growing a bit impatient.
Is the HC letter different than regular admit letter? MY D got accepted maybe 2-3 weeks ago, and just received the regular congratulations letter a few days ago. Is there still a chance, or do they combine the two mailings?
@3mamagirls - The letters come separately. My son’s HC letter came about 5 weeks after his acceptance letter.
@beaudreau - oh thanks! I feel very relieved there is still a chance!
So following up from yesterday, it might be worth it to send an email. I sent an email to the honors college yesterday, and I got one back today saying that I was not invited to it, but I can send in an additional essay. So it’s nice to know for sure that I was not invited to it so I know how to move on from there.
