Is it safe to say a 3.2 plus TAP, will get you into UCLA?

I believe I have a 3.2 gpa and I TApped for UCLA. I completed the 3 prereqs for the major. 1 of them was not offered.

What is your major?

I applied for Anthropology. The mean gpa admitted was a 3.5. If my British grades are factored in then I will have a 3.2, If not I will have a 3.5.

Anthropology isn’t an impacted major at UCLA but that doesn’t mean you’re a shoe-in. I think you know this already but TAP at UCLA doesn’t really give you priority in admissions. It gives you a second chance to get in if you have an alternate major which you had to have applied for as well.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by your British grades being calculated. You really should figure that out because there is a great difference between a 3.2 and a 3.5. The mean GPA for admitted students in 2011 was 3.56, so if your GPA is a 3.5, then you’d have a better chance of getting in. It’s possible that you’ll get in, but UCLA really factors in grades compared to other UC’s, so don’t hold your breath and expect to get in. No one should for that matter lol.
