Is it smart to take online geometry this summer?

I want to take an online course in geometry this summer so I can go straight to Algebra 2 next year. Is this a smart thing to do? A lot of people say that geometry is especially hard.
What are the best courses online to look into?

Umm, you don’t need to take an online course for geometry.

Last year in my freshmen year, I had self-studied geometry without even taking the class and gotten an 89 on the regents, which I took in June. In addition, I mastered the whole course of Algebra in the summer before 9th grade began and got an 89 on that regent that I took in January. Yet, I only spend 3 months mastering geometry—September,October, and Mid-May-Early June.

All you need is “Barron’s Geometry Review” and study from it.

The hardest parts of Geometry that I know are writing proofs–so annoying-- and locus-- so confusing.

I’m at private school so we don’t take regents exams. My school is pretty strict about summer programs and credits. I would take a huge exam in September to qualify for skipping the class because every freshman is required to take Geometry unless there are special circumstances. I just don’t know if three months would cover a whole year.

Actually, you can. Remember this is geometry, it requires memorization of formulas, which I think is not that hard if you are diligent.

In addition, don’t underestimate the days in a month.

90 days all together…That’s far than enough
