is it still possible to change from EECS to CS in L&S

i am international applicant from China who applied to EECS.
however after being waitlisted at both UCLA and georgia tech for CS, I have serious doubts whether I can get in.
Plus i believe that the CS in L&S suits me better.

so is it still possible to change my major

Decisions come out soon. There is no way to change the major you applied to.

That being said, good luck.

@zfrozen‌
thank you

but are you sure about this, do u have any links.

There is a procedure to request a major change on your application:

http://admissions.berkeley.edu/applicationfaqs#major

It is very late to be making this request, since decisions come out in a matter of days. I suppose you have nothing to lose by asking, but don’t be surprised if it is too late.

They have already made decisions.

Even if this was like a week after you submitted your application, they still would not let you change the major you applied to… There are no links, it’s just how it works-- for any UC.

EECS will be a somewhat 6% ish acceptance rate whereas L&S will be ~20%
you can switch after you’re accepted, although i’d stay in eecs if i were you
(stay in eecs for the swag, you’ll die in the 7 series for physics assuming you’re normal like me or you could be a physics god idk but you should stay(; )

well I emailed them and they say they were unable to make the change.
@5oviet‌.
