Is it too late to apply?

I have come to the conclusion that I cannot afford my top choice, University of Delaware and I fully regret ignoring Rutgers as a place to apply during my several month bliss/obsession with UD. For the past few days I have been kicking myself over the fact that I completely overlooked Rutgers. I am a New Jersey Resident looking to be an ecology/evolution major. Do you think I could possibly negotiate a way for me to GO to the admissions office and apply with them right on the spot, so they dont have to wait for my stuff (SAT and app) to go through? Also, do you think I could still receive some aid.

NOW? Woah…it’s WAY too late. Sorry.

" Filing the FAFSA by the priority deadline ensures that you will be considered for all available aid. However, if you filed after the priority filing deadline of March 15, 2011, and are eligible to receive financial aid, an aid package will still be constructed for you. For priority consideration, students must apply for aid each year." From Rutgers financial aid Q&A

“December 1st priority deadline; February 28th notification date; May 1st decision deadline; after December 1st, applications are considered on a space-available basis.”
I hope this helps

You can still apply. You will have 3 choices to rank and it looks like NB SAS or SEBS would be ok for you? You might want to apply to the Newark campus as well if you want a backup.

If you don’t get in, you can always do 1 or 2 semesters at your community college and then transfer in. Don’t worry, your mistake is relatively small in the grand scheme of things. I did my first year at a community college and things turned out just fine!
