Is it too much to take 5 AP courses in my senior year?

I'm going to be a senior this year and I want to take these classes because I'm interested in them and I want my transcript to look good and get ahead in college credit.

AP. Euro History
AP. Biology
AP. Calc AB
AP. Eng Lit
AP. Macro/Micro

I also have a research period (which is basically study hall) and I'm co-president of drama and very involved in Theatre. I've just been seeing posts saying that it's massive workload and I feel like I'm way over my head..I'm a good student with a 3.7 unweighted and a 5.3 weighted and I don't slack off, I make sure I do my work to the best I can do. I do tend to struggle in math a little bit but I have a really good tudor for this year.I just feel nervous and worried that I'll have a horrible time in what is supposed to be the best year of high-school...does anyone have any advice?

That’s a tough call. My sophomore year I had 2 APs, 4 honors, and band. I waived my study hall for the 2nd AP by the way. I’m the type of student who needs to do ALL the work and study for every quiz and test. So I ended up spending SO much time on school work, and I basically had no social life that year. I spent probably 5 hours on homework every night. :,( So, depending on who you are as a student is the answer to your question. Are you able to get As without studying? Do you only do required homework or do you study a bit extra? You’re going to have a lot of work to do regardless. After my sophomore year, I made a rule for myself that I won’t waive my study hall, and the most APs I will take is 3. I want to have a rigorous course load, but I also want time for friends and extracurriculars. Just really think about how much work you’ll be putting on yourself and whether or not you’ll have time for it. Maybe eliminate 1 or 2 APs that you’re not truly interested in.
Good luck making your decision.

I am taking 4. Your GPA is already good. Only take what you really want to take

Which one? Henry VIII or Elizabeth I? Oh, you meant tutor! :-*

The difference between 4 and 5 AP’s will not make or break your application, unless your GC disagrees, Take what interests you so long as you can get a good grade in the class.
