Is it true that the Collegeboard makes the October SAT harder?

I am going to be a senior in high school next month and I am thinking about taking the SAT again (my current score is 2110).

However, I heard from my friend, who is now in college, that the SATs in October are hard because Collegeboard knows that it is a last-ditch effort by seniors.

Is this true? By harder does he mean that the level of difficulty for the questions are raised or that the scale is harder?

I also have heard that the March SAT is harder than other ones because it is for the National Merit Scholarship. (Not that I plan to take the March SAT, seeing as I will be a senior..lol).

Just do the best u can.
Usually the curve is only off by 10-20 points.

curves are decided long before the test, so no, its not harder, think about it, its a standardized test

It's not harder , should be about the same, but we have more people getting 2400s on October than any other test date. Probably just a coincedent

I don't think it's a coincidence.
More people study during the summer for the SAT than during the school year, hence there are more perfect scores on the October tests than on all other tests.

Also, I would think that the curves would be more generous in October.

if it was harder, you would get 2400 even you had had 5 wrong anwers!

Shish. I never study during summers.

me neither
