I stopped by my [Californian] community college's counseling office today and noticed a bulletin that announced that only four UC's will be accepting transfer applicants for the fall 2010 semester. Out of the four, neither UCB nor UCLA were mentioned. I only glanced at it once so I am hoping that I have misconstrued the information completely. I checked UCB's official transfer site only to find that nothing has yet been updated. Can anyone confirm this information?

This has to be false. I have never heard of anything like this and I am sure they wont stop accepting transfer applicants with this short of notice. I, along with many other people, would be absolutely devastated if this was true. I wouldn’t worry about this until you here from a more reliable source.

I really, really, really hope not. But I doubt it…I mean, a google search doesn’t bring up anything.

Are you absolutely positive it didn’t say “spring” instead of “fall”? Because that would make way more sense.

This would make a lot more sense to me as well. Universities have already significantly cut down on the number of Spring transfers. There is no way they are going to stop fall transfers any time soon.

Well it wouldn’t even be cutting down, I’m pretty sure that there are only like 4 UC’s that take spring applications usually

icalled ucla admissions yesterday to ask if they were changing some of the pre-reqs for my major, and they mentioned nothing about not taking applicants…so i dont think what u read istrue.

NOT TRUE.

However, it is true that Kel loves Orange soda.

No it’s not

where do you get your information, sounds like a ■■■■■ thread? state your community college so we can confront the for giving misleading information

April Fool’s day has passed.

No, it’s not true. If they weren’t accepting fall transfers, they would have made an official announcement by now.
