Is it very hard to get in RD to WashU??

I cant find any data or statistics online about the breakdown of WashU’s ED vs RD acceptances. WashU is my second choice school, so I will be applying there regular decision. Will it be much harder to get in because I’m not applying ED? And is there anything I can do to make myself stand out as a RD applicant, other than visit and interview?? I would really love to go there, but I don’t want to ruin my chances by not applying ED :frowning: It’s actually pretty tied with another school as my first choice. I’m strongly considering switching to ED if it will make me a stronger applicant, because I know that since they don’t have a supplemental essay they will receive so many apps from top students who aren’t as interested as me during the RD round. What should I do?

I think the numbers have been discussed on here before and IIRC there is a fairly significant difference in acceptance rate ED vs RD. In my view, you should not apply ED unless it is your clear first choice. If it is your clear first choice, you should apply ED to help the odds. You simply never know with Wash U; supremely qualified people are disappointed every year. How do you feel about your chances at the co-favorite school?
