that is how much it will take to go to Indiana University, or I could cut my debt in half or possibly more if I go to DePaul University. Is it worth it? If it helps I will be majoring in Finance at either school.

Work and pay for it as you go. So you're saying it's only 10k a year? That's pretty damn cheap nowadays, especially if that includes room and board. I pay 8k a yr and I live home, just to go to the state univ. I worked more hours than I should of, and so I guess that will pay off when I don't have much of any debt when I finish.

Seriously, I don't think your school matters that much. Once you have a few years experience, employers could care less about where you got your undergrad, unless you're talking a major difference in quality of schools.

It seems it is fashionable to talk about elite schools on this board. That's great if someone goes to Wharton or whatever, but it is certainly not the end all...lol

Look at the career reports and look at the companies recruiting at each schools and decide.

it depends. for top b school programs, i would say 'yes'. but for IU, i would have to say 'no'.

^ditto

ten char

IU sucks, biggy compared to the other b-schools.

DePaul isn't even ranked. Student to faculty ratio is like 80 to 1. They glorify it.

Better off at DePaul, working your ass off and double majoring. Take some courses during the summer at DePaul or at a community college - they transfer over like butter.

I live in Illinois. Gimme a PM if you want more of a prospective. I was just admitted into DePaul for transfer. It's a safety, but hells.
