Is it worth applying ED? :-/

Hey guys, I know its getting close to the ED deadline, but I was just wondering if I should bother applying to UPenn ED. Some background info before my stats: yes I'm Asian, but I definitely wouldn't consider myself the...typical Asian..if that means anything. My fortes are not math and science and I really haven't achieved anything special. And if it helps, I'm pretty good at writing so my essays shouldn't be too bad.

My intended major is international relations and possibly economics. If any of you have suggestions for other colleges with a good international relations program, please do suggest it.

thanks guys

well hey!! go buckeye state programs! i got elected sec of state at buckeye girls, but anyways, your resume echoes mine in a lot of ways (: lol like for being asian im kinda sucky at math and science (But in an asian world being bad at math and science means generally low a’s lol) i know nothing about college admissions rly bc ppl have told me i have a good chance and others have told me not a chance at penn :\ so i’d say 50/50…but hey good luck to you! maybe if i get blessed too we can be buckeyes together at penn!!

haha well thanks…go bucks. anyone have other insights?

i thought we had to send all SAT II’s?

I’m just going to send my ACT so I won’t send in my subject test.

Did you not end up sending the subject test? It’s a pretty decent score and it definitely wouldn’t have hurt you… plus, you broke the rules. Yeah, Penn said the ACT or the SAT w/ subject tests was required but Penn has also said that ALL TESTING must be sent.

So hopefully you ended up sending it. If not, I don’t think it’s the end of the world but hopefully Penn won’t find out somehow later. I’m guessing your GC didn’t list the score on your transcript because that would be bad because Penn could see you didn’t follow instructions.

Anyways, I think your chances look pretty good. Good luck!

:-O. wait i thought if i was just planning on sending my ACT, I didn’t have to send any of my SAT stuff. If thats not the case :-(…i feel guilty. can anyone clarify?!

and thanks underdog :-). you are underestimating urself btw
