I got a 530 on my U.S. History SAT II which obviously is not good. I’m wondering if it would really be worth it to restudy and retake it or if it’s okay to leave it as is, especially since I’ll be take 3 more SAT IIs this (my junior) year. I got a 4 on the AP Exam (only 2 people in my school got a 5 and I was among the few who got a 4) and aced the class, and I think my grades and other thins which will go into the decision making process are fine. So my question is, is it really a deal-breaker for some colleges if I do not retake it? A few of the colleges I’m looking at are UMiami, Pepperdine, Chapman, Penn State, and Villanova.
You have other exams to prepare for. Don’t retake this one.
I agree with the person above. Study for the other 3 SAT IIs and submit the highest scores. Good luck.
I think you’re better off forgetting about the U.S history SAT II and studying for the other subject tests instead. As long as you get a 750+ on the remaining three tests you’re taking, you’re good to go.
@maaz97 OP isn’t applying to incredibly selective schools, I think a 700+ will still be competitive.
@PAgirl99 Make sure none of your target schools require that all SAT II scores be submitted.
Thanks guys!! That’s what I was also thinking, to study for the other tests rather than the one bad score.
