Well my dream for a couple of years is to attend to UCLA, but my GPA is way too low for me to get accepted as a a freshmen so i would have to go to a community college for 2 years then reapply to UCLA. The thing that i am really wondering is, is it worth it? Since i currently live in Seattle, WA i would have to move out of my parent’s house and have to pay my own bills and stuff like that. Is California worth moving to or not really? My other option would be UW here in Seattle which would allow me to stay home with my parents and pay less theb i would as an OOS.
What’s so attractive at UCLA?
UW is an outstanding school. If you can get in, that sounds like the right place to go. You can move to CA after you graduate.
$55k per year at UCLA. Can you afford it?
JustOneDad- i just really want to go and live in California, but i dont know if its just like everybody says, UCLA is a great school and is known by alot and might help getting into Med or Vet school (i think).
Aunt bea - is it that expensive? From what i saw, the tuition is the same as UW once i pay an inner state tuition.
See the tuition costs for non residents

Los Angeles is not The Promised Land. Go to the UW. Sheesh.
You will most likely not be able to pay in-state tuition unless your parents live in CA or you are over 24.
OMG.
UW is a fabulous U! There is no earthly reason for your parents to pay OOS tuition for UCLA instead!!
Go to college at UW and then move to Calif after you graduate.
