So here's my story. I took an Economics class outside of school. I signed up for the AP Macroeconomics exam. I paid my $88 (or $84, I'm not really sure)

Then, on 3/17, my science team had our Science Olympiad. We won. This meant we were going to nationals. (in Kansas, haha)

Unfortunately, the days in which we would be at nationals included the day that the AP Macro exam is scheduled for. So I told the teacher for the class that I needed to take the late test, and she was like, ok, and directed me to the woman who was running the preregistration and everything.

The woman tells me ok about the late test, and tells me to come in for the pre-reg on 5/3. I go, I do it, she tells me to give her a $40 check anytime, and she'll e-mail me when she receives it. I send the check, wait for a week, then e-mail her yesterday when I still didn't get an e-mail. Later that day, I get a reply e-mail from her saying that unfortunately, they had already ordered the regular exam, so if I were to take the late one I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL $233, for the proctor I guess, although that's still a lot of money. She'd just assumed that I was not going to take the late test because I hadn't responded. (what?)

That made me mad, but oh well. I just told her I wasn't taking the test; I'm not about to pay that much money, and I already lost $88 anyway.

What I'm contemplating now is whether I should take it next year. I've studied a lot of economics and was all ready to take the test, but I'm not sure I'd be motivated to next year, and I won't have my class anymore. Plus I'd be taking 6 APs if I did that. I probably won't even use the credits. On the other hand, I have studied a lot, and in a strange sort of way I want that $88 I wasted to be avenged somehow.

If I do take the Economics APs next year, I'll have to start studying at the beginning of summer, since I won't be having my class anymore. I dunno. That was sort of long, sorry.
