I was accepted early to a number of my schools. One of my activities I listed was fundraising to build wells, schools, etc. in African developing nations. Should I send an E-mail notifying colleges that we are not actually going to the continent, rather we are simply giving all of our fund-raised money to service groups that build these wells and schools?

Leave it alone. It’s fine.

If any of the Us want more details about your ECs, they will contact you. I wouldn’t bother them unless you have major updates–confirmed as NMF, Eagle or Gold Scout Award, won national award, etc.

Alright. I just don’t want them to look back and see that like my school never traveled or anything when all we did was fundraise for other organizations.

Why would they think that? Forget about it.

Plus in the Additional Information I typed that I participated in community walks / jog-a-thons, but really I just volunteered and was race monitor, parking administration, etc. for these. I was really goofing up with my proper descriptions of these
I guess it’s those two major errors that keep me up sometimes. All I need to do is survive my senior year :(

The second thing is a non issue as well. You did participate.

I agree. All of the above = non-issues. I don’t think you’ve exaggerated or mischaracterized your contributions. Absolutely no need to worry.

[PS: Most fundraising operations for Third World countries are in fact conducted domestically…so that’s what I assumed anyway]

Ditto, non-issues. Get some sleep - there is NOTHING to worry about here.

Phew
Thanks for the relief guys :D
