Is it worth taking it again? Opinions please

I took the March SAT and scored 100 points higher than my PSAT so I am thrilled!

770 M
780 CR
670 WR

I am concerned about the fact that my writing score is 100 points lower than either of my other sections. If I took the test again, I think that I could score about 30-40 points higher on my writing, but I could also drop the same amount on Math and Critical Reading.

If I am looking at top engineering colleges, (MIT Rice WashU Northwestern Berkley etc) should this be a problem? Don't colleges look favorably on one-time SAT takers? Is the writing score really as big a deal as the other two sections?

Any and all advice appreciated!

2220 is a good score, and do take into consideration that generally CR and M are the more important sections, and you've done very well in those two sections. Taking the SAT a second time is not uncommon, but you should only do it if you know you can retain, or better, improve your M and CR scores as they are the 2 more important ones.

dude
screw that. go for the SAT II's. or something else.
