Is It Worth The Trip??

I am applying to Harvard and Cornell,

I already had interviews with an alumnus from each school, and was wondering...

Would it make much of a difference to visit both of the schools to meet with an admissions officer for an interview?

Is this normal to do on top of the alumnus interview, and would it benefit me?

It would be a do-able trip, but if there's nothing to gain...

Any information, or opinions would help

thanks

I think meeting with the admissions officer can only help. It shows that you have genuine interest in the school and also shows that you have a lot of initiative. Plus, it helps for them to be able to put a face to those stats and essays. So go for it.

Neither Cornell nor Harvard consider the level of interest shown by applicants. Before you go, make sure that an admissions officer will meet with you.
