Is mid-year report not important?

I really want my mid-year report to be important.

My grades go like this:

9th, 3.5 3.5
10th, 3.7, 3.5
11th, 3.9, 3.85
12th (mid year report) 4.0

Will my mid-year report be important?
I just cannot believe that colleges even consider 9th and 10th grade scores, they dont
mean anything.

Yes, every grade is important. They also want to see a final report with your complete senior year. Some schools don’t consider freshmen year.

Yes, it is important. If you start slacking off, a college may rescind your acceptance.

From my years of experience with college admissions, a mid-year grade report is looked at to make sure you have kept up with your courses. A 4.0 senior year isn’t going to raise your chances, just solidify your acceptance or, if your GPA falls, it’ll be the catalyst for a rejection. Pretty much, mid-year grade reports are used to make rejections, not acceptances.
