is Music 90b for intro singers?

what's this class like? is it easy? im not an experienced singer, so i don't want to sign up for the wrong course

You have to audition at the beginning of the year to do University Chorus. You do need a music background, such as reading music, etc. You’re not really taught how to sing in the course.

90B is the less experienced singers where as 90A everyone can read music and most people play an instrument. you audition at the begining of the year and dr. neuen determines whether you are good enough for 90B or 90A or if you are tone deaf and shouldn’t be in either lol. but seriously i strongly recommend auditioning even if you aren’t sure, choir is amazing here!

do you guys know if there is any class that i can take that teaches singing? or do i have to already know how to sing to enroll in any singing class?

thanks

yea, the class sounds interesting, but i have no formal experience, and i don’t want to look like an idiot during auditioning

what’s the audition like? i can’t read music either

the audition is not intimidating at all. u just come in and dr.neuen gives u a paper with like literally two lines of musing. if you know anything aobut music youll know how to sing it while he plays it on piano. don’t worry he wont make fun of u lol
