Everyone has to sing individually in Music 20A?

Is that true...

I've heard that too, though I also heard it's not so bad.

I took 20A, I'm a pretty poor singer, and I felt that it was okay. The truth of the matter is that some people are naturally better singers than others, and there's a broad range of different students with different backgrounds in music training, from zero to over a decade. The teacher comes into the class understanding that fact fully, so they cut you a little slack if they know you have no music training or background, or if they know that your talent for singing is just "less developed" (my GSI said that there are no people who can't sing, only people with undeveloped talents, but tell that to American Idol contestants). So don't worry about it.

Or you can take the test before enrolling in the class, and waive 20A and 20B, like what I did.
