is my bio score good enough?

I want to major in bio, but I got a 760 on bio m. Is that good enough for some of my top schools like dartmouth, georgetown, and emory?

Exact same dilemma. I want to declare bio and psych as my interests, so is a 760 really good enough for MIT, Stanford, and Yale?

Those won’t hurt you but they won’t help you either. So yes it’s “good enough” but it won’t make you stand out as a biology genius or anything.

So it’s worth it to retake, colleges don’t look down on that at all? Because I think I can get an 800, I was just more focused on Math this time around…

I’m not sure if they look down on retaking subject tests or not haha, I just asked that question on my own thread. Honestly, assuming you aren’t taking biology in high school again next year, I wouldn’t retake it. I would say at Ivies a 740-780 on bio won’t help or hurt you and a 790/800 (maybe only an 800) could actually boost your application. they usually dont care too much about these tests, not as much as the SAT I for example, and if you got a 5 on the AP bio exam or if you got an A in bio at your school I’m sure you’ll be fine. The only way I would retake it is if let’s say you got a B in Bio for a grade but you want to show you’re still really good at bio, but that doesnt seem like it would be the case with you haha.

thanks for the replies! I’m not really looking at any ivies besides Dartmouth and Brown, so I have more of a dilemma with the top 25 schools.
