Is my college list realistic (Rising Junior: NYU, UNC, Northwestern) ???

Hi, I'm an African-American male, rising junior from Maryland and wanted to know if my current college list is realistic based on the right number of safeties, matches, reaches, etc. (I'm planning on majoring in Journalism in college)

Current College List: Is this realistic?? Should some of these be moved into a different group?? Thanks!!!

Reaches:
*Northwestern University
*University of Virginia
*University of North Carolina: Chapel Hill

Matches:
*University of Maryland: College Park
*Boston University
*New York University
*Syracuse University

Safeties:
*University of Texas at Austin
*University of Missouri, Columbia

Bump ?

Truthfully, I’m not seeing any hooks or anything that truly makes you stand out other than the rigor of your courses. For these reasons, if any of your matches have an acceptance rate under 30% I would bump them to a reach. Other than that, your list looks great! However, please note that junior year will change you and your list is definitely going to change as well. Good luck and continue working hard!

Your list looks great to me! Definitely keep your grades up, and the only thing you need to work on is test scores… really try to get it 2100+

Your ECs are weak but have strong grades. I think North Carolina is a match and Boston is a safety
Chance back
