My unweighted GPA is 3.93 only taking into account the classes I took in highschool. If I include the classes I took in middleschool that are on my transcript, my unweighted is only a 3.7-something. Will top colleges not care about the middle school classes?

colleges only care about highschool, 3.93 is phenomenal, but more important to a gpa is course load (max out those ap classes), and also, grades arent everything to a college. Some of the top colleges will deny a close to perfect sat score if the essay is lacking, or if the extra curricular activities are weak. But yes, very good GPA! @cyue1234

If the classes you are including from middle school are for high school credit then they will be included. But GPA is not everything since schools across the country measure it in many different ways.

My kid got into U of Chicago and Swarthmore for fall 2013 (so two years ago) with a 3.7. But she did have fantastic test scores.
