i have around a 4.05W uncapped, 3.75W capped, and a 3.5 or so UW

i pretty much have too many B's because my school is crap and because i don't care for the bs my teacher (who don't know anything) assign us

i have decent SATI/II's, but from what i've seen UC's put a lot more weight on your GPA than your SAT (i've seen lot of people get in with 4.5W 1800SATI but no one with 4.0W 2200SAT I)

are there any EC's that LA's tend to favor that would help my app?

I guess they weigh GPA more because it is what you earned throughout a year and counting in all your effort rather than just one 4 hour test, and SATs can be prepared for but GPA is determined by your overall efforts...

i've always had the same trend, pretty much just a's and b's

my school is not only bad with teacher that either have no idea what they're talking about or care too much about the sports they coach to focus on teaching, but our rank depends on class selection (the chem teacher gives A's for 80%, while the physics teacher has like 2 A's in his whole class)

and what about non-award EC's?

like volunteering, clubs (which clubs do LA favor the most for engineering major?)

at our school there's a bunch of people that get straight A's but score low on SATI/II's because they really don't know anything except getting their tutors to help them navigate through the school's bs and get good grades while learning nothing in the process

Depends. Remember it's not just about grades. Also keep in mind, they are looking from steady improvement over the years. I had very similar grades with yours, mostly B's had 3 C's my freshman year (C bio entire year, C in geometry second semester). The only time I had more A's than B's was my sophomore year, after that I had A's in normal classes are usually B+ or the occasional A- in my AP classes. SAT (how sad, but I won't lie) my highest was like 1900 and my ACT highest composite was 30. All of my SAT 1's were between 600-750, let's just say multiple choice and I don't get along very well haha. My AP scores were all 3's.

It's only a reach if you don't have anything to write about in your essays. I wrote about my passion for guard, my father dying and how that effected me esp. being mixed black and not having any support when I faced discrimination, and my interest in world cultures and languages. Then there's also e.c., leadership, volunteer. And no, you don't have to do 50 million sports and yes, if you don't like something you can quit. I ran track one year, sang for 3 then quit, did poetry club for 3 years (didn't have time the third year), and have had a leadership staff position in color guard 10th and 12th grade. Then I volunteered at the humane society, approx. 8 hours/ week.

Don't stress, don't give up. There is more to college than gades, trust me. Relax, focus on your strong points. If it's what you want and you work for it, it'll happen. Oh, and if there is anything you need to explain: EXPLAIN IT! Don't think they'll take it against you, trust me I got a few rejections because I was too ashamed to admit I was hospitalized my junior year which resulted in my straight B's.

There is so much more to it than GPA and scores and EC's. Due to holistic review, many other factors such as race/ethnicity, family income, parent's education, disability, hardship, and what opportunities were available to you will determine if you get an acceptance letter. FWIW, I have known several people with a GPA similiar to yours that have been accepted, but they usually have another mitigating factor on their application to make up for it. I also know many with stats much higher than yours that get rejected.
