AP Computer Science
AP European History
PAP (honors?) Chemistry
PAP Algebra II
PAP English II
Choir
Tennis
And Spanish Flex
Here is the hard part. A flex class is a class that you take as an extra to get ahead so to speak BUT IT ISNT AN HONORS
so because of that I suspect it will bring my grade down if I don’t make a 100. My school uses a 5.0 scale for and AP class you get 5 PAP you get 4 and regular 3 points so should I drop choir and add a pap Spanish II or should I just try to make an 100 in the class which shouldn’t be hard since it is regular. Also do you think having a flex makes my GPA lower any way? Most people get their GPA but using 7 classes and averaging that but I use 8 classes. Will this effect me? Please help THE DEADLINE TO CHANGE CLASSES IS NEXT WEEK!!!
Also im a somphmore
Maybe learn to spell (or just type slower) first. Is this rigorous in terms of the classes offered at your school? Are classmates taking more rigorous, less rigorous, or about the same difficulty level courses? And OH MY GOD IT’S NOT AN HONORS COURSE I’M DOOMED. Please. Coming from a school that only offers 7 honors courses (4 languages, Pre-Calc, Junior Lit, and Chem), I say you be thankful about the things your school offers.
It’s fine. A non-honors course where an honors option is not available will not swing your GPA appreciably when view across 4 years. When it comes time to apply to colleges, many colleges will look at an unweighted GPA or apply their own standard since all HS’s have their own scale. In the grand scheme of things, this is not one of those things you need to stress about.
I think your schedule looks fine. You don’t want to overload yourself with too much work. Just take the classes represented on this schedule, and when junior year comes and you find that your sophomore schedule was too easy, then I would take more Honors and AP classes.
Buddy, you’re only a sophomore! Your schedule looks fine and many schools only offer one AP for sophomores anyways!
Yes
RIP grammar
Coming from a sophomore, your schedule looks fine. A college would rather see you trying to get ahead in a subject you are interested in (Spanish) than seeing another generic honors class on your transcript. Go with what you truly want to take, and don’t let honors/reg have an exorbitant influence
lmao thanks for that informative comment!
