Is my schedule for next quarter insane?

So, Im a high schooler that is doing dual enrollment. I am taking 4 classes at community college ( and i already finished my high school grad requirements, so no half college- half high school classes).

I am thinking of taking the following classes and my school runs on a quarter system. Please tell me the feasibility of the following classes.

Math 1C (5 units) : Calculus C (i think this is half of calc 2 and half of calc 3 for a semester system school)
Infinite series, lines and surfaces in three dimensions, vectors in two and three dimensions, parametric equations of curves. Derivatives and integrals of vector functions.

Physics 4A (6 units including lab): Physics for Scientists and Engineers: Mechanics (i think this is the intro calc based physics class)
A rigorous introduction to the physical laws that describe and explain the motion of bodies. Analyze the structure of classical mechanics and its applications to problem solving using verbal logic, critical analysis, and mathematical models. Investigate general scientific procedures as a quantitative interplay between experimentation and theory employing statistical methods, graphical techniques, and measurement theory.

CIS 22B (4.5 units): Intermediate Programming Methodologies in C++
A systematic approach to the design, construction and management of computer programs, emphasizing design, programming style, documentation, testing and debugging techniques. Strings, multidimensional arrays, structures, and classes. Pointers: their use in arrays, parameters and dynamic allocation. Introduction to linked lists.

Im either going to take Microeconomics or a class called creative minds. Both are relatively easy

ECON 2 (4.5 Units): Introduction to Microeconomics
An introductory course focusing on choices of individual economic decision-makers. Examines fundamental microeconomic issues; the allocation of resources and the production function, pricing of output and factors of production; the distribution of wealth and income; consumer motivations and behavior; the nature and behavior of business firms and markets under various degrees of competition and market failure.
Im a macro econ tutor for the same teacher, so micro econ shouldnt be too hard im guessing.

Creative Minds (4 units… one of those easy A bs humanities ge classes)
An introduction to the study of creativity in human life; its sources, development, social purpose, and role in culture change. Students analyze creativity as a central source of meaning and purpose in their lives as well as a development of their unique combination of human intelligences. Lives of creative people from all over the world are examined and contextualized.

so my total units would be 19.5-20 units. I might also take up being a math tutor, but im not sure about this. This would mean I would be working about 10 hours a week (which i dont think is too much at all).

What math and science classes have you taken already?

I’d suggest sticking to the three STEM classes only, or perhaps Math, Physics, and Creative Minds. MAth, Physics, and CS + Creative minds would be pushing it. Micro-econ is not as easy as macro.

@MYOS1634‌ do you think i can take math, cs, and creative minds or micro? physics would be the definite killer considering I am not good at physics to begin with. keep in mind that this is community college and classes are easier. i think our micro econ is probably not too much harder than macro.

Well, if you’re not good at physics, then stay away from it. No college is impressed with a HS student who takes a college class and gets a C in it.
Math, Cs, and Micro should be doable - check with the professor since you TA for him.

@MYOS1634‌ alright. And just curious, I already got into a few schools like uiuc and Purdue. Do you think if I get a c physics 4a, I will get rescinded?

No.

@finallyfree‌ Honestly, if you think you can handle then go it for it, but once you’re in you got to go with it. Also, keep in mind that you should get good grades. Just because you’re in high school doesn’t make a difference, except that you’re accumulating college credits.

I’m also dual enrolled with a community college. And some my schools even require that you keep the syllabus and the department will check your community college’s syllabus and determine whether or not it should transfer.

Note that going to Purdue will require preparation. Don’t just take the courses to get them out of the way in college, but make sure you get something out of that class, because college is a different environment.

no
C’s can limit admissions, but once admitted are not cause for being rescinded (unless your admission letter states that.)

bump… i will be taking creative minds, physics 4a, math 1c, and cis 22b.
