Are acceptances expected to arrive earlier than others?

Upstate NY

Im guessing so. Im in North TX and havent gotten ****t

Yes to your question, but I don’t think people should fret quite yet. If nothing comes Monday, there’s cause to worry some.

but people have gotten rejected, so I don’t see how it could be concrete bad news. I am in the same boat…ppl have been getting letters from colgate and vanderbilt, and I have no mail…

Acceptances went priority mail and denials went regular first class.

Some people got their PM packet, others got the regular mail, and lots of people got neither.

So it stands to reason that there is some variation in delivery times based on location and even carrier routes. Even local PO’s vary; some are more efficient than others and get the mail out as soon as it comes in while others are a bit more laid back.

I suggest that no mail DOES NOT mean you were denied. Wait and see what Monday brings, hard as it seems.

My friend heard today (waitlist) and I didnt hear anything. My mail came really early this morning so my decision is most likely sitting in the post office. It honestly depends on your post office and location.

I haven’t gotten anything, but in my case its probably a rejection…

Yeah… i take it, its not a good sign.

have a lot of people not recieved news yet?

id say unless you live really far away from nashville or in some remote town, if you didnt get an acceptance today then the news is likely bad.

it seems the priority mail packets made it to all areas of the country today

crap…I live in Dallas, and haven’t heard back…hopefully its a wailist…Mail doesn’t come on sundays so I guess I have to wait until monday…■■■…

vandyclassof2013

I suppose you may be right for the vast majority who did not get a letter today, but there will a few who get their PM letter Monday. One poster said her daughter was an ED admit but did not get her PM package today.

So, there is still hope. Even if its only a little.

In some areas, Priority Mail only comes on Weekdays (not Sat. and Sun.) according to UPS and USPS. I just called them 30 minutes ago about it. So im still hopeful…partially… plus i live in a ruralish town far from Dallas. Do you guys think they send them out by last name?

This is now the thread where we’re almost positive we’re rejected/waitlisted but are in denial and are holding on to the small thread of hope we have left. =]

Not me.

I’m a very practical person. Until I get the letter I really don’t know one way or the other.

And USPS DOES NOT guarantee that Priority mail will arrive the second day. I sent a Priority Mail letter to Virginia Tech in Feb. It took 6 DAYS to go from Cleveland to Blacksburg Virginia even though I was told 2 days.

Therefore, I refuse to feel bad or get dejected until I receive a letter one way or the other from Vanderbilt.

Why can’t it be monday already?

yeah i’m worried if we didn’t get anything today that we’ll be getting rejections on monday =(

I live like 45 minutes from BC and it took two days for me to get the acceptance while almost everyone else recieved in in just one day. The lesson? Every post office runs different. If i dont have it monday I will start worrying

hilsa! I really do hope you get in!! Good luck on monday! :]

Does that mean not getting a decision in CA, today, is fine?
