Would she be a good candidate for Northwestern? Does NW give any merit aid?
While others are more qualified to weigh in on her candidacy, she certainly seems solid from my perspective. Having said that, credentials alone won’t gain admission; she’ll need compelling essays that will differentiate her from the mass of other applicants and good recommendation letters. Like many of the more selective schools, NWU doesn’t offer merit-based aid; depending on her program, however, she might be awarded some money to pursue research while in school (e.g. my daughter was accepted there and planned to major in engineering, and if she attended, she would’ve received funding for research during her career there). Good luck!
^ NU does have some non-need merit scholarships, but they are almost insignificant amounts to a full-pay family (generally they are a few thousand).
Northwestern = NU. As father of 2 NU alums, I say that yes, your daughter looks good for NU. Has she visited NU yet?
