is paying your housing fee a binding contract?

Hi,
I am nearly certain that i want to go to Penn State, but my dad wont let me commit until i hear back from Harvard. My question is if i go ahead and pay the 330 dollar acceptance and housing fee, will i be able to back out? I understand that i wont be able to get the 330 back, i just want to make sure that i am not stuck with supplemental housing.
Thanks!

As far as I understand, you can back out. You just will not get your money back. I’d call housing and food services to make sure. But I’m almost impossible that their contracts are not binding.

If you can afford the $330, look at it as a non-refundable deposit.

Agree with this sentiment: “My suggestion is if there is any possibility your S or D will attend PSU, and you can afford to possibly lose $200 or $300, you may want to send your deposit in ASAP.”

I’d also confirm with housing.psu

Good luck with your decisions!
