<p>I am thinking about Rutgers</p>
<p>good as compared to what?</p>
<p>Yes, Rutgers is a good school, but as pointed out by @jamesbond1, “good as compared to what?”</p>
<p>
Sure…Its the flagship university of New Jersey.</p>
<p>From what I understand, Rutgers is a very decent school.</p>
<p>"The public ivy league.’</p>
<p>Public Ivy’s are:
1.University of California-Berkeley
2.University of Michigan
3.University of California-Los Angeles
4.University of Virginia
5.Georgia Tech
6.University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
7.University of California- San Diego
8.University of Wisconsin-Madison
9.University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign
10.University of Texas-Austin</p>
<p>Average State Universities: (no particular order)</p>
<p>University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
University of California- Davis
University of California-Santa Barbara
Penn State University
Rutgers
Ohio State University
University of Florida
University of Washington
University of Pittsburgh
University of Maryland
Purdue University
University of Connecticut
Indiana University
Virginia Tech</p>
<p>Then Rest of the state universities:</p>
<p>Rutgers is a worthy runner-up “public ivy”, in my opinion</p>
<p>For whatever reason, Rutgers seems to be regarded more highly out of state than it is in New Jersey. It may just be that familiarity breeds contempt, but New Jersey students with the means to go out of state generally do (except for the few who can get into Princeton).</p>
<p>That’s anecdotally accurate^</p>
<p>I’m one of those students, as are most people from my high school.</p>
<p>Yes, I consider it a good school.</p>
<p>Yeah, it’s decent, probably getting better</p>
