IS SBU still crappy on the social scene like it was said to be???

<p>I mean, full of commuters and a vacant campus on weekends. I'm not a party person, and I rather just hang with a few friends and catch a movie or whatever, but a dead campus is a real tun-off. I live on Long Island approximately an hour from Stony Brook and I'd really hate to get away from home just to be surrounded by more Long Islanders (no offense). All I'm looking for is a happy campus and some intramural sports...</p>

<p>College is what you make of it. I never had a bad social life, but I was also involved in numerous activities etc.</p>
