why not start your own thread? why rescue this thread? consider something more grad oriented like thegradcafe.com

It’s harder to achieve high GPA in SEAS than in CC… this should answer the question.

I don’t understand your train of thought. SEAS students could be less engineering-focused to MIT students while still being smarter than and well-respected by CC students. In fact, since SEAS students take classes alongside CC students and tend to be more interested in the liberal arts and humanities than students at other engineering schools, CC students like them more than students at other schools like MIT.

i’m pretty sure that cc and seas kids respect each other. if anything, they sort of gang up against barnard and gs… which is wrong, but hey :l

Isn’t it a little early for a 2015er to be posting about campus life sentiments?

i mean, that’s what i gather from reading through many threads and articles about columbia.

Look, it’s best to arrive on campus without any notion of school-specific or social heirarchies. I know that it seems easy to get the vibe of Columbia life from boards like this. But, this kind of perspective is limiting. Don’t allow yourself to be swayed by *****-talk, no matter how consistent it seems on CC.

oh yea i get what you mean. i definitely intend on following your advice. these discussions tend to be a tad one-sided, anyways =P
