Is senior year used for calculating GPA?

For EA/ED/SCEA, do they could the first marking period/quarter (if your school works like that) ?

And for RD, do they count the first semester?

I don't know about all the schools in the US, but i think for those on a quarter system, first semester ends around december, which is usually too late for most apps. If your school factors in grades into your GPA every quarter, that would work for RD, but ED and EA don't get to see your new GPA. Colleges however usually request to see what grades you got first quarter, just to see how well you're doing in your senior classes.

Also, if you're doing EA/ED/SCEA, you could fax or mail in your first marking period grades when ever they become available--which is usually during the first week or two of November for many high schools.

For my high school its first week of October, so do you think that they would consider them?

Well, if the deadline for EA/ED/SCEA is November 1, I would say yes, colleges will consider them. Just call the school to ask them how they would like the document sent in. I think you could probably get a print-out from your school (or make a copy of the report card you personally get) and have your GC fax it in with a cover sheet that has your name, school, address, DOB, and perhaps SS#...and specify that you are sending in your "first marking period grades" somewhere on the cover sheet. (Or you could just mail everything in--since your grades are available in October, that's plenty of time too.)
