My DD wanted to sign up for summer orientation, which I guess doesn't open until March but there's a page for spring orientation. Is that the same as Destination Tulane?

After reading that page, I think spring orientation = summer orientation. It occurs in June (maybe overlaps with the very end of May) so it starts in the late spring and finishes in the first days of summer. I think two different writers just chose two different terms, unfortunately. As far as I know, other than Honors Weekends, there is no registration/orientation for new students until after the May 1 finalization date.

Destination Tulane is definitely different, it is meant mostly for students that are trying to make their final choice before the May 1 date. They do not register for classes like students at Orientation do.

I think Spring Orientation is for the transfer and new students starting at Tulane in January as in starting class on Monday of this week.

Thanks- it’s very confusing.

The new student orientation for kids starting in August takes place in June. There are 9 sets of dates on the website BUT you can’t register until March 1st.

It took us awhile to figure it out too. :)
