Is Stanford Summer College worth it?

I'm considering going to the Stanford Summer College 2009, but before I apply, I need to know if it is worth it. The financial portion is not a concern to me, but I do not want to waste $10,000. Does it give you the upper hand in getting accepted into a good college? And is it worth the money?
I would appreciate advice about this from people who have done this program.

I was also thinking of doing the program.
I guess it can only help with college applications.

I applied and was accepted for summer 2009. I would really appreciate some input from anyone who attended this program last summer. I am considering going, but extremely undecided and also don’t want to waste $10,000. Anything about the program would be useful info.

Go tot he summer program section. HSL isn’t the spot for this.

I was considering the program, but I wasn’t confident enough to apply. I’ve heard that it’s really fun and they offer good fin. aid.

I actually was going to do this, but it turns out it doesn’t better you chances of getting into Stanford so I’m definitely not doing it because of the expensive costs, plus the $50 fee for applying.

It doesn’t help you get into Stanford, but any college you want to get into will be happy to see you take actual college courses. Sending in an official Stanford transcript with your application next fall will be impressive.

Do you know if both of your parents get into Stanfard, then you’re guaranteed admission to it? If you have siblings, then only one of you guys gets guaranteed for sure, so you should have the one who probably wouldn’t get in go, and then have the smartest one who actually has a chance apply or something. That’s what my dad told me and he’s a Stanford alumni. I definitely won’t be getting in though.
