I am an international applicant and I would like to go to Stern.. But I have heard that Stern has a much lower acceptance rate than CAS. Is this true? I have a 2310 SAT and 4.0 GPA. Would my stats place me on the upper half of applicants? Where can I find the applicant score distribution for each school?

Your stats look very good but your strength in math will be the most persuasive element, along with your essay, extra-curricular s, career plans, etc. I think if you go to the College Board website there is a link to a site where you can find the profile for recently admitted classes. Also, re-check the undergrad admissions page for NYU. You could google your question as well. BTW, Stern usually wants students to have taken Calculus.

Thank you. I got a 800 on my SAT math as well as on my subject test. I also have a 5 on AP Calc BC. Do you think this would put me at an advantage when I apply?
I didn’t do any activities that are directly related to business (like FBLA, DECA) but I do have an experience of setting up my own newspaper business. Do you think I should emphasize this point in my supplement?

^ your stats are stellar for Stern, but it will probably come down to why you want to attend school there so strongly. They do get lots of kids with off the charts scores- and yours are fantastic-no doubt about that! Now you’ll need to show them why you’re a good fit for each other.

Thank you!

I just got into Stern ED1 with a 2010 so…

Were you an international applicant?

I have a strong multi-cultural background but have been living in america since 2006
