is the book ‘frankenstein' suitable for SAT?

hey guys~
recently i ve been reading this book 'frankenstein' and it has posed a lot of difficulties to me. i wonder if frankenstein is too hard for SAT. will sat critical reading contain passages from the 19th century??

i would love to hear your opinions. and could somebody give me some ways to improve my critical reading?? i only got 640 on my critical reading last time....

My daughter had a copy of Frankenstein that was particularly for SAT study - had all the vocab words defined. Reading, reading, reading is the best way to do well on the critical reading portion, but it works best if you start early (like elementary/middle school) and develop an interest in reading for fun.

Since it’s too late for that, read books written with an adult vocabulary and look up words you don’t know. (Most British books, even young adult books, seem to use a larger vocabulary than American fiction.) Fun authors like PG Wodehouse, Donald Westlake, Bill Bryson, Dave Barry, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs can expand your vocabulary and improve your reading speed. So it doesn’t all have to be dry and boring.

but is the actual copy of frankenstein too hard?? i still want to know that…

No, it’s not.

Do you guys feel like reading novels is helpful for increasing SAT reading score?

I read Frankenstein and I realized that it contained MANY SAT vocabulary words.
