In correspondence with financial aid today, Vanderbilt said once the verification is complete they will be able to let me know how a scholarship will affect S financial aid. FAFSA and CSS profile was complete first of January, tax forms sent near end of February and IRS data retrieval complete in middle of March. Should we expect the financial aid award that came with the admissions letter to be accurate? Wouldn't they have already looked at all our forms?

From what I remember, it was basically accurate. There might have been a difference of ~1000 dollars or something.

My son received his initial financial aid reward with his ED1 acceptance letter. He received his finalized award letter during the regular decision mailings and the award was a small amount more than the initial letter.
