My two cents...I am guessing you have not yet heard from NU, and that officially you are still on their waitlist. If this is true, then A/You have selected a college you will attend in the Fall...and...B/If NU notifies you a week before school starts-you are still a member of the class for 2011 should you accept their offer at NU...otherwise you will be a member of the college marked under "A"....either way...you have worked hard to be in this position-I am hoping NU comes through as you still have your heart set on attending-Good Luck....remember..."it ain't over till the fat lady sings"--otherwise known as a letter from NU telling you that they have removed you from the waitlist, and will not be offering you a place in the class of 2011---why not take the road filled with optimisim???

hopeful, I come bearing good news: you don't really want to go to NU anyway. A quick perusal of your posts on other boards suggests that all you plan on doing is transferring to Wharton anyway. I feel bad that your unfulfilled wish to get off of NU's waitlist hurts your chances of transferring, but somehow I'm convinced that you'll make do and bring your theory that the grass is greener on the Wharton side to a different, "unworthy" campus.

good post lol

I think it's safe to say he got... Cerebrally Assassinated! Ha. Haha. Ha.

I know, I'm terrible.

hopeful2007, go to a school whee you will be happy and be able to perform very well. Dont go to a school because it MIGHT increase your chances in getting into Wharton later on. Some people that go to UPenn come in through CAS hoping to transfer into Wharton, but very very few actually are able to transfer in. If its that hard to transfer from one of UPenn's own schools, then imagine how friggin hard it would be to get in from a totally different university.

i dont think you guys get it
it's not a matter of whether or not i have a better chance of transferring
it's solely a matter of Northwestern giving me 100x better recruitment opportunities, given that the Wharton thing, if I attempt it, doesnt go through anyways
