Is the iSchool or other learning communities worth it?

All I could find about them was flavor text that left me with a few questions. After visiting I picked out Kelly hall, but have found out that iSchool student must reside in an area of Myers.

1) What fraction of the student body participates in any of these communities, and how many people would you say are in the iSchool (roughest estimate). In other words it an "everyones doing it" thing or just a handful of people?

2) What are the tangible perks to as opposed to the "friendship building" and "extra learning" that the Drexel website emphasizes? (not that those are unimportant reasons)

3) How often do 'events' occur such as excursions?

4) Is it worth losing a bit nicer looking housing, and having a smaller roommate pool to participate?

Overall, how awesome is the iSchool, will I feel incomplete without it and regret not signing up haha?
