Is the junior PSAT score a accurate indicator of one's junior SAT?

Absolutely not. However, this is based on the reasoning that the PSAT isn’t taken as seriously as the SAT. Nor does it usually involve as much preparation as the SAT (as it should be). Thus, tipping the score towards the SAT.

No!

Junior PSAT: 216 (72 CR, 71 M, 73 W)
Junior SAT: 2290 (700 CR, 800 M, 790 W)

Not very accurate, lol. Then again, I suppose the fact that I made a couple of dumb mistakes on the PSAT math section brought me down. My SAT was also raised by the fact that I studied a fair bit over winter break. :P

I found the PSAT wayyy easier than the SAT, but it might just have been my tests in particular. Plus, the individual sections were kind of messed up from PSAT to SAT.

PSAT: 230 (80 CR, 70 M, 80 W)
SAT: 2270 (750 CR, 770 M, 750 W)

Without studying at all for either, I got almost exactly the same scores.

CR: 80(but -1)
800(-0 or 1)

M: 79 (-1)
770(probably -1)

W: 700 (-3)
710 (MC:71/E: 9)

For a total of 229 vs. 2280. I was shocked at how close it all was. If only the math curve was a bit kinder, they would have been exactly the same!

yeah mine didn’t change much from my PSAT
i got a 215 on it, and my highest on sat was 2220

D’s junior PSAT is 225, but her SAT taken a few days early than PSAT is only 2060, so it depends.

In my case, more or less. Took the PSAT in October, got a 223 (80 Critical Reading, 73 Math, 70 Writing). Took the SAT in January, got a 2310 (800 CR, 740 Math, 770 Writing).

Pretty much… I got a 237 in junior year, and got a 2400 on my SAT (taken January of junior year)

A lot of people I know do better on their SAT’s than on their PSAT’s. I got a 212 on the PSAT (yuck), but I got a 2280 on the January SAT.
