We had a mock election before either nomination was clear, and Obama came out on top (slightly anomalous because NJ went for Clinton in the primaries).

But pretty much anyone who cares about politics supports Obama. There's just this one guy who actively supports McCain. He's a staunch conservative, and he is a rather scary/intimidating guy. He definitely knows his stuff (no offense, but the other McCain supporters in my school just support him because their parents do).

I am originally from Massachusetts and now go to a pretty large school in South Carolina. I can say that a ton of the students I know are Republicans, because their parents were. But, we have about 30% African Americans at my school so Obama has strong support on that side. I am a liberal with no one on my side in most situations. As for the faculty, one of my teachers is an extreme Hilary supporter, the rest seem liberal except one who is semi-Conservative. I am also Catholic and I wanted to add that although now some Catholics are moving conservative because of gay rights and abortion, let's not forget about the Kennedys.

Liberal, but there are a few conservatives.
But we don't have many hot headed conservatives, and plenty of hot headed liberals.
So most of the Neo-cons are quiet about the Political Affiliation.
The Subject of politics doesn't come up much.
Some people are flat out clueless, I met a girl last year...she is GT...who didn't know who the President of the US was...
It also makes me mad that much of the people at school think they are right about politics...As if politics wasn't purely opinion.

Thank God politics isn't purely opinion. Can you imagine the [crap] we'd be in if every opinion were valued as much as every other opinion and the simple majority won out? The free election system is bad enough as it is...
