Is the Maxwell School separate from the University?

I am looking to transfer to Syracuse and I want to be a history major and it says i will be attending the maxwell school. I was wondering if the maxwell school is separate from the actual university. Will I not live on the Syracuse university campus still? Or is this just a building located on the campus?

The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs is apart of CAS. It stands as it’s own graduate school, but for undergrad it combines with CAS. On my acceptance letter they said “Congratulations you’ve been admitted to the political science program of college arts and sciences and maxwell school of…” or something like that. You’re considered apart of both schools but on the CommonApp it’ll be under CAS but in parenthesis it’ll say “Maxwell” next to your intended major. You will still live on campus, don’t worry!

Thanks man! I really want to go to Syracuse and live on the Syracuse campus instead of a separate school campus.
