You guys act like telling someone "Get off CC; you're wasting your time. Go out and enjoy high school." But you fail to realize high school completely SUCKS. I've been on here since March of this year; I was a 10th grader when I signed up. I completely hated high school then, and I do now. But then I look back and realize that was over nine months ago. So to all you sophomores, go on hating high school. Work hard and find things that make you not want to completely give up. Stay addicted to this site; there is loads of invaluable information to learn from. And best of all, don't worry; it'll all be over soon!

Now if you stepped out into the real world for a bit you'd realize having a social life and actually doing things on Friday and Saturday nights is much more fun than CC.

I'm a junior.
I totally agree.
I'm tired of doing pointless busywork. I'm tired of seeing the same people every day. I can't wait to go to college.
Only a year and a half to go...

So your advice is to continue to hate high school, and stay addicted to an online teen forum?

If you have a life, you won't be thinking about how much you hate high school. Being antisocial and staying on the computer is exactly what you DON'T want to do.

You guys kidding? HS rocks now! I know I used to post about how retarded it all was, but now that its second term and I'm a senior, I can finally say fck grades I'm just going to care about learning the specific things Im interested in. And fck these dumb activities, I just want to party, and by that I mean both party-parties and upcoming LAN starcraft 2 parties. HS is finally gotten to the good part

I pretty much agree with Nick. However much I have loved high schools and hanging out with friends and stuff, the damn monotony just gets to you. I honestly hate doing the same exact thing every weekday, and every second at school I'm waiting for the weekend so I can at least choose to break the cycle. Honestly, I just need to see a new setting for once.

I've been sick of high school since I finished freshman year. thqat was when the "oh look I'm a big kid I get to hang out and do stuff with my friends!" phase passed, and it became "oh god, my town sucks, and my classes are monotonous, and there's never anything to do. Also, I hate my dad. Wheeee."
1.5 years to go, folks. 18 months until I begin a glorious life free of public high school.

Uh.. I think I am the only one who likes school. Of course, it's not the best place. But, it's certainly not the worst. I guess I like the gold stars on my forehead from when I do my homework. I doubt it'll be like that in college.

The problem is, I have not done enough work throughout High School for this part of it to be all that different. High school parties get old pretty fast, too, and if you think they're such a blast now you've never partied with college kids.

mephist, being a nerd through and through, Im not really a party-elitist. All I know is that I'm having a decent time now, good balance of nerdy activities and non-nerdy. I'm really looking forward to college so, so much, but it's not that bad in HS either. College isnt going to be all fun and games for me; I'm going to go for all that top grades stuff and get a dual major - now I'm just in a perpetual state of chillin, so to speak. It's not a blast, it's just rejuvenative and kinda interesting.

If HS is monotonous, do something different, like try to get on s different sports team or something, idk. Hang out with different people, try to make a band, get a job, that's what I'm up to now. I'm not saying HS doesn't suck - it does, but life has the potential to suck in every chapter of your life. To the sophomores, you can still get the grades while trying out new things (as in new friends/activities/interests). It wont make the monotony dissapear, but it will bring a balance of monotony and mild occasional excitement.

I actually love high school, I have the best friends ever and have so much fun at school. I have like 5 hours of homework every night, but watev.

I'm actually kind of dreading going to college, because of how great high school is.

I don't mind school so much.
It's boring.
The other students I'm not friends with bug the crap out of me, but I'd much more perfer to leave my house behind than the school.

dang... bout waking up at six, not getting back from skiing practice till 8pm everyday, then doing my homework in the 3rd most competitive public school in the state, while attempting to be accepted to a top university. My ECs are fun and all, but I always have to come home to a few hours of work
