I read on their website they accept only 300 students. My question is: Does this mean that they’re more selective and it would be ill-advised to bet on getting in, or is it fairly easy to get in and just not many people choose to apply? I couldn’t find an answer online. I’m not basing my decision to apply on admission rate, I’m just wondering how realistic it is to get in. Thanks.
Someone else may want to confirm this, but I think applicants are first admitted into LSA before being considered for the RC. So applying for the RC should not impact your chances of getting into Michigan.
If you get into LSA, admission into RC is rolling
First you have to be admitted to LSA. Then you have the option of applying to the RC, just as you do any other learning community. If you do not get into the RC, it has no effect on your status with LSA.
@brantly Agree however the RC does fill up rather quickly given its small size. If you aren’t offered an immediate place, you can often transfer year in January or for your sophomore or junior year.
