Is the revoking of an admission offer common?

I got in REA, but I'm currently taking Calc BC which is inflicting some abuse to my GPA. Say it drops from a 3.98 to a 3.94 by the start of next semester. When Stanford receives these grades, will they possible revoke their offer of admission? Or is that only in the case of severe grade drops and felonies?

You should be fine. Don’t worry too much

I’m pretty sure it is only in case of severe grade drops. If you aren’t getting any D’s or low C’s, you should be fine.

It’s not common. One person on the forum mentioned only 0.2% of admissions offered were rescinded in his year. Stanford has been known to send warning letters when dropping from an A student to a B student, but the only times I’ve heard of Stanford rescinding based on academic performance involved grades of C or lower, generally multiple grades in this range. One can also be rescinded for non-academic reasons, often related to integrity or disciplinary issues. An example is Stanford learning that you lied about something important on your application.

Rescind 3F rule: Felony, Fraud, or F grade.

Dropping from a 3.98 to a 3.94 and worrying about being rescinded?

Not sure if serious.

Typically you can get away with C’s, let alone B’s. D’s and F’s are the danger zone when it comes to potentially being rescinded.

IxnayBob, I’m digging dat dere 3F rule.
