So I got a 590 in math, which i was kind of upset about, because I wanted all of my scores to be a 600 or above. Even though its only ten points, just seeing all sixes makes me feel like I did better. But do colleges really see a difference between this?

I doubt it wouldn't be that much of a difference. But If i was in your position... I would like the 10 points too.

No, colleges won't care. They realize that the difference between a 590 and a 600 is maybe just one wrong question or one blank.

I totally understand where you're coming from. If you get a 79 on a test, it looks absolutely horrible. But an 80, you're like, okay... ill do better next time. Colleges tend to look at standardized scores last anyways. So, it shouldnt affect you too much... they also know that on any given day, a score can vary by 50 points... BTw, im also in the same situation... i got a 690 writing, and 780 in the other two. My 690 just pales in comparison to a 700 in my eyes.

There is no difference between a 590 and a 600. They could actually represent identical performance on two different test dates on two different forms that were scaled slightly differently.

There is also no difference between a 600 and a 610, but for some people, this 10 points is not as important as the previous 10 points.

Admissions directors know better and wouldn't see any 10 point difference as a difference.
