When colleges see a 690 verbal score, do colleges say 700 when it pops in their head? What sucks even more is that I got a 790 on Math, so I hope colleges wills say 800. Thus in actuality, I got a 1480 in this fashion, but in essence with the rounding up and impression colleges get, I hope they just say I got a 1500 because of a two-question difference.

what the colleges will see:

verbal 690
math 790
composite 1480

LOL yea I think you're thinking too much. They see what you have, and that little bit won't make a huge difference.

I'm in your boat. I got a 680 on verbal, but luckily I go the 800 on math. Our scores will look essentially the same to colleges.

LOL, nobody's going to round a 690 down to a 600. That would be horrible... lol

:)

yea that would suck. but with the impression of the 90 part, will colleges round up and in essence be like "yeah this kid got a 1500, great sat score for out school etc..." I mean you get the jist of what I am trying to say in terms of impression..?

I don't think colleges round, they just see a 1480 and leave it as that, just like Kriegz said.

Yeap...I agree with ColdEggNog and Kriegz. They aren't going to get all psycho on you and round up or down. I mean you got a 1480 (which is GREAT, and you should be proud of it!), nothing more, nothing less. If you missed 2 from a 1500, you missed 2. I'm sure they aren't going to be that picky. That is what I think though.

According to HS bio: one molecule of glucose gives off 38 ATP...

sorry, i just had to say that, it was my random comment for the day.
